Edward the Longshanks, the 'hammer of the scots' rules with an ironfist, relentless in his goal to bring Scotland under his control. William Wallace sees a future with his childhood love until she is mercilessly killed at the hand of the English. I adore the soundtrack in this film. Everytime I watch the scenes between William Wallace and his love, I weep! Performances were fantastic and although the movie is historically inaccurate it is entertaining. Maybe a bit less brawn and more romance would have been nice!
